Send to a Friend and Tweaks
Once in awhile I actually have some non-nonsensical news to impart — and so... This week I added a "Send to a friend" link in the Snig of the Day section. Clicking the link should open an email with a link to the relative snig placed in the body. I tested it in Internet Explorer 6 and Netscape 6.2. Hopefully it'll work for you. Please, let me know if it doesn't.

In addition to the "Send to a friend" link, I made the Snig of the Day navigation buttons bigger (the next/previous snig, week, etc.). They were too small to begin with but the impetus for the increased size was a friend of mine who mentioned that they were hard to click on a tablet PC using a pen. This should be a notice to all web designers — tablet PC use is on the rise, better start designing for it. One significant issue that arises from the tablet PC is the rotated aspect ratio. My friend tells me that the snigs.com layout gives the dreaded horizontal scroll bar. Alas, I don't have the time right now to repair. But once those tablet PC complaints start rolling in I'm sure I'll buckle to the pressure and fix it.

Poem of the Week

Two Stars on a Limb

Twinkle-Dee and Twinkle-Dum were resting in a tree

"The night is bright," said Twinkle-Dum, "Indeed," said Twinkle-Dee.

"I never knew the light we threw could reach so very far.

I guess sometimes a change of view can show how bright you are."
